Ride out: Brighton & South Coast

Beating city-life/traffic for a day, Cezar, Fredy and I headed out early to Brighton for a ride along the south coast.. It was so hot it was unbeleivable, though we stayed cool enough as long as we kept on moving :) Found some fantastic roads that just twisted on for about 10 miles or so, a real treat after the searing heat of Brighton beach. Fredy bought a new Gixxer and needed to help break it in so we added another couple of hundred miles to the clocks, whilst I discovered the joys of no wind-noise, buffeting or helmet movement from my new Arai as we flew through the twisties, lovely.

Arai Signet GT

I've bought myself a quality helmet at last, no more messing about with big helmets that look naff and move up into your face when you're going fast... I went for the Arai Signet GT 'Cathcart' after getting £130 off the original price after some heavy haggling at Infinity Motorcycles in Clapham. It fits beautifully! It's a joy to use, I can see so much more of the bike under me, the linings are very comfortable, it's physically smaller than my old AGV so doesn't make me look like a Mekon. I've been getting a lot of thumbs-ups from other drivers when they see the Union Jack on the side.. nice to celebrate what's good about the U.K now and then.
